Beginner Teacher Training Program starts Sept 11, 2010
Unique teacher training conducted by Bryant Mascarenhas MBA,MIS,CYT, E-RYT
Entire program is taught by Bryant Mascarenhas, additionally you can
continue to access Bryant's wisdom of yoga long after the teacher training
program is completed.
Bryant is certified internationally as a senior teacher by Senior Iyengar Yoga teacher Fr.Joe Pereira of Bombay. Additionally Bryant is recognized by Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teachers with over 5000 hours of teaching yoga prior to 2002.
This teacher training intensive is for students of yoga who have had at least
5 years of asana based yoga practice.
The Santosh Yoga TMBeginner Teacher Training Program is for existing
teachers wishing to enhance their teacher training skills, for new teachers,
and for students intending to take up the task of teaching yoga.
Course covers indept study on how to teach the essence of yoga in the
ethos of alignment based yoga and the spirituality of - Fr.Joe Pereira.
Course covers yoga principles as applicable to living one's life
in harmony with daily events.
Principles of teaching asana, pranayama, meditation (dhyana) will be given
emphasis. Program will cover anatomy of the body with primary focus on
musculo-skeletal system and how it relates to yoga practice.
Teaching asana safely: how to enter, align and exit asana.
Use of various props and modifications to suit a variety of students will
be covered. You will learn Sanskrit pronounciation of asana, chanting,
sequencing, and teaching classes. The application of yoga philosophywill be
taught so you can enhance your own practice while teaching yoga.
Course will be lecture, demonstration, theory and practice sessions,
and a 28 -weeks internship with Bryant Mascarenhas. You will receive hands
on experience in teaching beginners in LIVE CLASSES.

Hands on internship: Done twice a week personally with Bryant during
evening and/or morning LIVE group classes

Additionally the uniqueness of this program is learning to teach in a live class setting personally with Bryant, besides the Teacher Training group sessions during the week and the weekends. This includes attendance at three live therapeutic
yoga class (with backpain, pelvic disorders, fibromyalgia, hip pain, knee pain, shoulder injuries, cancer, anxiety/depression, disk herniation,etc).
Program also includes Bryant detailed teacher training manual for teachers and precise sanskrit pronounciation of asana, pranayama, and yoga philosophy. The program is fully conducted by the Director of Santosh Yoga, Bryant Mascarenhas.
The program is rigorous and only if serious please apply.
Mininum of 5 years of
documented yoga practice and/or teaching experience required to be eligible for this program.
