Bryant Masarenhas is a naturopath and an Ayurvedic practitioner. He began studying eastern disciplines at the age of 10. Born in Bombay, Bryant grew up practicing Christianity within the fabric of his Indian heritage, and is the first and only Portuguese Catholic from India teaching Yoga in the United States.
Bryant holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, a Master’s Degree in Business, and another in Information Technology. He’s also an accomplished black belt in the martial arts system, “Ketsugo,” and has studied Korean hand-foot acupressure.
Internationally certified as a senior teacher by Fr.Joe Pereira, Bryant is also recognized by Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT.
Due to his work in radiology, Bryant has in-depth knowledge of anatomy. In addition to being an Ayurvedic Practitioner, he also continues his studies with his Ayurvedic doctor in Bombay, India. In many of Bryant’s classes and at Santosh Yoga, you will be filled with cutting edge insights of science, natural therapies, and the ancient wisdom of Ayurved.
Bryant has taught alignment-based yoga to thousands of people in India, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, and the United States. He has helped people with alcohol and drug addiction, HIV/AIDS, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, migraines, lower back pain, neck and upper back pain, torn ACLs, torn Knee Meniscus, kidney failure, herniated discs, torn labrium, sciatica, scoliosis, arthritis, infertility, cancer, heart problems, panic attacks, anxiety and depression, BiPolar II, Suicidal cases and more….
Bryant also works with the mentally challenged and autistic communities of Easter Seals with alignment-based yoga.
Bryant is one of the few teachers in the state who has conducted 6 Medical Research Studies on Migraines, Obesity, Gait Analysis in Obese kids, Anxiety and Stress in collaboration with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and currently a Lower Back Pain Study with the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Bryant continues to do extensive research studies in therapeutic yoga for kids and teens in collaboration with the medical research team of Children’s Hospital.

Inspirational speaker at several institutions, Aurora Psychiatric Group of Hospitals, Children’s Hospital, including Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, and has arranged with various corporations to bring Yoga to the workplace.
Several years ago, Bryant was awakened to leave career in radiology to follow his childhood passion of living from the heart.
The fruit of that passion is Santosh Yoga.
In August 2006, Bryant had a unique private session with Fr. Joe Pereira and global yoga icon Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar in Pune, State of Maharashtra in India. Bryant actively mentors and consults with Fr. Joe Pereira in Bombay, India and in several countries abroad.
(The city of Pune is about a 4 hour drive from the city of Bombay).
Bryant inspires you to live an ‘awakened’ and ‘purposeful’ life. His yoga encourages the balance between the physical, physiological, psychological, emotional and spiritual layers of your being.

Bryant grew up practicing eastern disciplines in India and has followed his childhood passion of Yoga. He has been practicing and teaching Yoga since 1986.
With extensive studies in the Iyengar System, Bryant has integrated the principles of Fr. Joe Pereira and BKS Iyengar.
