Bryant Mascarenhas began studying eastern disciplines at the age of 10, started his formal yoga practice in 1986, and is the protégé of world-renowned yoga teacher Fr. Joe Pereira. Born in Bombay, Bryant grew up practicing Christianity within the fabric of his Indian heritage.
Bryant holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, one master’s degree in business, and another in information technology. He’s also an accomplished black belt in the martial arts system, “Ketsugo,” and has studied Korean hand-foot acupressure. Bryant is internationally
certified as a senior teacher by Fr.Joe Pereira. Bryant is also recognized as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT)with Yoga Alliance at the 5000 hour level. Due to his work in radiology, Bryant has in-depth knowledge of anatomy.
Since 1986, Bryant has taught alignment-based yoga to thousands of people in India, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, and the United States. He has brought yoga to people with alcohol and drug addictions, HIV/AIDS, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, migraines, lower back pain, herniated discs, sciatica, scoliosis, arthritis, infertility, cancer, heart problems, panic attacks, anxiety and depression.

Recently, Bryant brought to the United States a unique yoga practice that combines the spirit of India with the Western principles of wellness. (Read more about this on www.kripaus,org.). He has been an inspirational speaker at several institutions, including Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, and has arranged
with various corporations to bring yoga to the workplace.
Several years ago, Bryant left his successful career in radiology to follow his childhood passion of living from the heart. The fruit of that passion is Santosh Yoga, of which Bryant is the founder and director. In August 2006, Bryant had a unique private session with Fr. Joe Pereira and global yoga icon Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar in Pune, State of Maharashtra in India
Bryant actively mentors and consults with Fr. Joe Pereira in Bombay, India and inseveral countries abroad.
